I got an urgent call last night from the Head of Obama's Chester County Offices.  They have NO volunteers to work the Coatesville area.  I, unfortunately, was not able to take off work, but if you have the time and the inclination and the ability, please contact the campaign headquarters and make calls and knock on doors to ensure that this area of Pennsylvania gets out to vote!  (Sorry the diary is so short, just felt it was important to get this message out!)

Just a quick entry.  I was listening to NPR this morning and the Head of NOW (National Organization of Women) was on.  In a highly unusual move, NOW will actually endorse a canidate.  That canidate will be Barack Obama and Joe Biden.  Their record on supporting women's rights is subperb and with Sarah Palin on McCain's ticket, they can not in good concious support McCain and Palin.  As the head of NOW said, she is the antithisis of what it is to be a feminist.

I really have had enough, so I wrote the following rebuttal.  I hope maybe, just maybe that it will help a few people see through the lies and propaganda the McCain camp has been spreading.

So, I was reading over at Fox, I know, I know, I should know better, but I like to see what the right is saying.  I came across this editorial by Greg Gutfield entitled "Who Hates Sarah Palin?"  http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,4201 61,00.html

I was horrified!  Are they really so out of touch?  Do they really think it's only the elite that feel that Sarah is scary?  I don't know about all of you, but I am an average lower-middle class mother.  I am a mother of 3 boys.  I shop at Walmart and Target.  I am the very definition of "average".  Yet, I am horrified at the idea of Sarah Palin as Pres .....opps....Vice President of these here United States.

So, how about all of you?  Are you "average" Americans??
